Organic Solvent Nanofiltration (OSN) or Organophilic Nanofiltration
(oNF) is a pressure driven membrane filtration technology. The basic principle
of this molecular separation technology, also called Solvent Resistant
Nanofiltration (SRNF), is the separation due to the molecular size difference
of components using solvent-stable membranes.
m-PS offers OSN plants from
laboratory to commercial scale. Our process plants can be operated with
membranes from different suppliers using flexible design of membrane cells and module
housings. m-PS can support your process development through the entire process
development cycle: process concept, feasibility and pilot testing, scale-up,
engineering and production.
OSN can be applied for the following processes:
Fine Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Industry:
-
Gentle API concentration and purification
- Non-thermal solvent recovery and management
- Room temperature solvent exchange
Natural and essential oil and products:
-
Fractionation of crude extracts (fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, herbs)
-
Enrichment of natural compounds
-
Natural oils processing such as dewaxing and enrichment
-
Decolorization
-
